LHENA Harm Reduction Initative

As part of LHENA’s mission to promote community safety and neighborhood wellbeing, we are launching a campaign to target harm reduction in the neighborhood! 

• If you are interested in participating in the Overdose Response Training, please contact president@thewedge.org. 
• If you are interested in receiving one of the FREE harm reduction kits listed below (Naloxone, fentanyl test strips, Xylazine test strips)  or interested in attending a training please fill out the following form: Request a Harm Reduction Kit (The Wedge). We deliver (to Wedge residents)!

In partnership with the Steve Rummler HOPE Network, we are proud to offer harm reduction resources in the form of:

• Overdose Response Training: Training led by a community educator (Elise Moore) where you learn about:
  • A brief history of the Steve Rummler HOPE Network
  • The opioid crisis and current statistics (national and Minnesota specific)
  • Opioid overdose and naloxone administration
  • This training does have a content warning of: drug use, overdose, and needles
• FREE Overdose Response Naloxone Kit that contains:
  • 3 doses of naloxone (1 mL in each vial)
  • 3 intramuscular syringes
  • 3 alcohol wipes
  • 2 nitrile gloves
  • 1 breathing barrier
  • 1 instruction card. 
• ​FREE Fentanyl test strips (FTS): can detect the presence of fentanyl in both opioids and non-opioids. Each kit contains 4 test strips.
• FREE Xylazine test strips: can detect the presence of Xylazine (a deadly, rapidly emerging street drug). Each kit contains 4 test strips.
