Safety & Welfare Committee focuses on direct community aid and action, with an emphasis on developing personal safety networks and tools to keep each other safe. Our mission is to keep our neighbors safe, happy, and healthy. We encourage feedback for more ideas on how to elevate our programming to better meet the needs of our neighborhood.

Our Safety & Welfare Committee focuses on direct community aid and action, with an emphasis on developing personal safety networks and tools to keep each other safe.
In order to realize a neighborhood where residents are safe, supported, and cared for Safety & Welfare maintains the following programs and efforts:
- Organizing and hosting Harm Reduction and Opioid Overdose Response Trainings in partnership with the Steve Rummler HOPE Network
- Organizing donation drives for essential non-food items such as clothing and toiletries
- Working closely with our neighborhood Food Share that helps over 10,000 neighbors a year access free groceries
- Making Fentanyl test strips, Narcan/Nalaxone, and other harm reduction supplies available to the community through out Save-a-Life box located outside the Wedge Neighborhood Association office.
