The LHENA Environmental Committee provides opportunities for neighbors to make the Wedge a more environmentally sustainable place to live.

About the Committee

Contact: environment@thewedge.org

Whether it is completing projects proposed and led by our committee members, connecting the community to existing environmental programs, events and grant funding opportunities, or learning about our environmental impact through field trips and guest speakers, the LHENA Environmental Committee serves as a forum for all residents to voice questions, ideas, and concerns, and receive support in their efforts toward making the Wedge a greener place.

Our committee tackles a diverse range of initiatives, from organizing community cleanups and promoting urban gardening to advocating for sustainable transportation options and waste reduction programs. We work collaboratively with local organizations, city officials, and environmental experts to bring educational resources and actionable solutions directly to our neighborhood. The LHENA Environmental Committee is always looking for creative ideas and volunteers who are looking to get more involved in neighborhood project development that can improve the public space and environmental quality for all residents.
