Finance

The Lowry Hill East Neighborhood Association Finance Committee, formally known as the Neighborhood Revitalization Fund (NRP) Committee, meets the first Wednesday of the month at 6:30 pm at our office.  The current committee chairs are Kari Johnson and Karlee Weinmann.  For current and and archived agendas, please follow this link.

Purpose

The committee serves to help LHENA members (residents and property and business owners) utilize neighborhood funding for community-related projects.  It is encouraged that all projects, including committee projects, are reviewed by the Finance Committee before final review and approval of the LHENA board.  This process helps LHENA ensure sufficient funds are available for projects.  Information on LHENA’s NRP and CPP finances, which are funding programs of the City of Minneapolis, can be found here.

Members and minutes

All members of the neighborhood who attend a committee meeting have the same voting rights and discussion privileges, barring conflict of interest on the night of attendance.  A draft of the minutes are available on the google doc to all committee members that attended that meeting for correction and to be presented at the next meeting for approval.

Projects

The Finance Committee develops and organizes neighborhood loans, which are administered by the Center for Energy and Environment.  Please see our Neighborhood Loan Programs page for more information.
